    One handed playing

how is anyone good at it? ive started playing one handed, and i can do pretty well on pad files, but i cant seem to get streams down at all. i can generally do most things around 130-140 with 16ths, but i cant get any faster. any tips?

edit: just did A'd tophs colors heavy. tophs heavy steps are really fun one handed, theyre like JUST above my skill level currently.

What do you mean how do you get better? Just practice and you'll improve over time.

Stop playing for some months. Come back to it and you'll be much much better. That's how it worked for me.

well see, streams arent easy. i really have no idea how im supposed to do it. with index and 4 finger, its pretty obvious how to set your fingers in cerrtain situations.

for instance, LDUR. this is how i think i should do it:
        index - L
        middle - D
        index - U
        ring - R

but when thats in the middle of a stream, it ends up not flowing that way. i guess just practice yeah =/

heres my best score so far, with one BS miss. it shouldve been a FC...

It requires practise. More so than switching between 2 and 4 fingers. You need to develop all new muscles in your hand, so its much harder. Just practise like anything else, its like starting over except you can still read arrows.

ok then if this is a general thread on it, let me ask a quewstion that i have the most trouble with..
how do you do 82628242 patterns or anything liek that when you have to twist your wrist midstream... I almost always get a CB at a pattern like that once its over 150 BPM.. any you guys know what I'm talking about or the general strategy for something like that?

Some patterns are just really hard an unavoidable one handed. Unless you turn like my friend who also plays one handed does, he has no problem with trills and hard patterns because of the way he plays, but I'm still better than him XD

Twist your wrist? O_O wtf...slide your index finger down from the 8 and then just use your dunno what its called ring finger to hit 6, and then repeat...its not that bad, when it gets really fast it just takes more energy and stamina to do, requiring more practise.

For example, if there was an up down up down up down trill sequence, instead of just using his middle finger, he would turn his hand so that he can alternate middle index middle index.

That might give better accuracy on trills, but the work involved would be too much. I suggest not moving your hand at all. I keep my hand still and move my fingers only.

By the way, Reach is correct. The only way to get better is to practice. I suggest getting the Keyboard Megapack. It has lots of challenging sims.
