I'm still improving at the game though, that would only mean I can't compare my scores with anyone else which tbh I don't really give a fuck about.
Can still have a rival like Kraezymann even if we're only roughly comparing how we do on files instead of being able to exactly measure relative DDR epenis sizes down to the micron

Honestly though I'm open to changing, tell me which theme I should be using. I'll miss my graphs and my actually having a goddamn search function tho

In later Etterna versions you can re-enable chord cohesion by changing the DisableChordCohesion flag on preferences.ini.

Serious criticism if you're actually going to tell him lol:
First half of the file rhythms don't feel right to me. I know they probably are, but they're super un-intuitive and I wind up just hitting them like 12ths not because I'm lazy or can't do the proper rhythm, but because the proper rhythm kinda feels off. That said I have no idea how I would step that section at this difficulty level in a different way so eh, who am I to complain
EDIT- upon looking in DDReam I have confirmed the rhythms are definitely correct. Conclude: I'm the one who's bad and not this part of the file
The offbeat notes in the section before the final stream make sense as a way to get your life back but they're also definitely not what I would have stepped in that section and they feel weird to hit too. Honestly my biggest gripe
Difficulty curve is pretty all over the place. But I guess that's the point lol

That said, I still enjoy the file so idk, it's probably better than I'm giving it credit for. It's definitely doing its job of motivating me to get better, it's super frustrating how many times I've barely failed it.

I can show him this, but it's been a while since that pack was released, so our charting styles has both improved and probably changed as well :V

That's etterna, not stepmania. It's Mina's creation, focused more for keyboard but still easily used for pad. Provides better score info but doesn't have chord cohesion which you might want for DDR

It's the concept that if you have more than one arrow in the same placement (e.g. 4th) it is only treated as a hit if all arrows are hit.

A quad/all four arrows will be a miss unless all four arrows are hit. Without chord cohesion, you can hit 3 notes but miss one in the quad.
