Get your FFR gear!!! And help out with the servers!

As you can see on the Module on the left, Synthlight has added an online FFR store, where you can buy several FFR-related goodies: T-shirts, mousepads, stockings for the Christmas holiday, ski caps, and even (dare I say) underwear! Money goes directly to the servers, since Synthlight pays for them…you can say, he pays for OUR entertainment. So thank Synthlight and help out the servers by purchasing your FFR gear…not available in stores…yet. =)

DOWN ME SLOW GONNA NOTHING AIN’T – makes sense

I have put up a secondary server that has a great deal of bandwidth on it. You should find this secondary server very fast. Please only use it when the original server is so very slow.

Only 1 stipulation…. You need to register as a member to use this secondary server. After you register, there will be a link on the lefthand side for “Play FFR Online! Srv. #2″. I am making people register so that it does not get abused with traffic.

Also, if you wish to link to xqsite. Please don’t link to the secondary server as I will be changing the URL often. Please only link to http://www.xqsite.com.

*EDIT* For now there is no registration needed to play on the second server. It is open to anyone.

Ain’t Nothing Gonna Slow Me Down

I have noticed a huge increase in the people playing FFR tonight. Please excuse the slow load times. I am working very hard to bring another FFR server online to make things a little quicker. It should be active by sometime late tonight.

Wanna Get Serious?

Lately in the forums there has been discussion about certain FFR clans forming. I think this is a great idea and I would like to see what I can do to help foster this idea. Some of my ideas are as follows, please add comments if you wish.

1. I could host clan websites for no charge. You make the pages and I provide the hosting?

2. Tournaments could be held for both status and for prizes?

3. Additional high-bandwidth servers for clans to practice FFR on?

4. I would need people with experience to help organize and plan online events for this tourneys
So what do you think? Good idea? I think it is a fantastic idea. Would need a few people who had the time to dedicate to such a thing but I think it would definately be worth our time.

For Little Ol’ Me?

A new song is up tonight in the Dance #2 section. This is a special night *tear* because this marks the first song that was ever mixed directly for FFR. I want to thank both Nestlekwik for his creative and sometimes tricky steps in the song and DJ KANKAOH for his 2 minute addition to the FFR family. Maybe we will see more from DJ KANKAOH in the near future?

I would also like everyone to welcome Nestlekwik as our first moderator to be onboard in the FFR Discussion Forum. Nestlekwik has been a long time supporter of FFR. He also authored the “How to make a stepfile” FAQ in the FAQ section. Please stop by and say hello to him in the forums if you get the chance.

Transmission Complete

FFR is now uses a total of 2 dedicated servers. The game portion is being hosted by my new dedicated server and you will most likely not notice any changes on the user end. All the old paths and links are still valid. The new server increases both our bandwidth and server speed.

*EDIT* Switching back to single server for a few hours this morning while I upgrade the 2nd server.

*EDIT* Back on second server.. Restored Hi-Scores from 6am. Should be fully operational. Leave a note if you have problems accessing the game.

Megaman Song Bug Fixed

There has been this persistant bug within the Megaman song that caused people to lose their max combo at a certain point within the level. This bug has FINALLY been fixed and a new version of the song uploaded.

Don’t forget to clear your cache and then give it a try. It is a difficult song but atleast the advanced players can full combo it now.. right? RIGHT?

We had a small 1 1/2 hour outage due to unexpected traffic tonight. Everything is back up and we are running at full speed. Sorry to everyone that had to go without their FFR during that time. I’m glad to be back

For a Limited Time Only

The scores have been reset due to the bug that was found yesterday. Thanks to everyone keeping an eye out during our beta stages. btw, everytime I reset, I file the old hi-scores away so that someday we can look back on them.

Now go grab a spot in the top 50 while you can!
