I Can’t Take The Suspense!!!
Are you guys pumped about Skill Token Month? 62 skill tokens + normal subscriber SotWs + a few special occasion releases… there will be over SEVENTY files released total in July. Even I don’t know the exact count of how many we’ll release!
But… wait…. THERE’S MORE! If you act now, you’ll get a 2nd bottle free! Erm…. I digress.
We’ve been dropping hints, subtle and not-so-subtle (hi LD), saying that we’ll be adding new statistics in the near future. Well, some of them are already coded. Some are still in the works. Those that ARE coded will be released en mass on July 1st, to kick off Skill Token Month with a BANG! You can expect these features:
Top1000 Average Rank (subscriber only)
Top 100 Most AAAs (public, with other cool additions in the future to it)
Some snazzy features within each level’s Game Level Stats, including # of AAAs on the song, number of users who have played the song, total number of gameplays on the song. And eventually, we’ll be adding a Top50 or Top100 of who has played each level the most.
We’re also hammering down a built-in Tier Point system, for those who know what that is. And if you don’t, check out this thread. Big thanks to Summerschool for all his hard work on the Tier Point calculator.
Finally, what I think is the coolest thing ever… cooler than sliced bread even. Or ice. We’ll be putting up an overall FFR GrandTotalScore and Games Played counter. Ever wondered how much grandtotalscore the entire site gains in a day? a month? a year? since the game first started back in 2002? Now you’ll be able to see. For the record, my guess is that the Overall GTS is somewhere around 10 trillion. And overall gameplays is around 500 million.

HYPE! An Evil 4 Letter Word. July: Month of the Skill Token!
Few things to share with you guys today. First off, I’d like to formally announce July as Skill Token Month. I know we had hinted at it before, but now it is official. We will be releasing SIXTY TWO skill tokens throughout the month of July… 2 per day, each and every day. Some reqs will be simple. Others will be insanely difficult. I’ll do my best to be original on all the reqs and match an easier req to an easier song. Once July starts, you can continue to check this page for all of your skill token update needs. Also, this thread is the official home for all things token related, but I suspect we’ll have a seperate thread specifically for this event. Big thanks to TheRapingDragon for maintaining that thread, big thanks to Brilliant Dyanmite Neon for all the past token images, and a personal big thanks to WhorliChan for all the skill token images that will be used in this event.
Now, you may be wondering how we can add 62 songs to the game and not run out of ones to add in the future. Well… we will be draining our queue to a big degree. It’ll drop from around 100 to 35 or so. But, thanks to all of our wonderful simfile authors, that queue just keeps filling back up and filling back up again. EVEN STILL… I’d like to take this time to let you all know, once again, that ANYONE can submit files to me for consideration to be added into the game. Check out this subforum for all things related to FFR Song Submissions and FFR Song Permissions. Because we DO have to have permission to use a song.
Which brings up my final point of discussion. A huge thanks to Rebirth0, jimerax, and everyone else who works so hard in getting us new artist permissions. One man has recently risen above the rest though, and I’d like to not only acknowledge it, but also let all of you know about all of the new Rock permissions he’s gotten us. DrugstoreCowboy is a one-man MySpace Emo/Rock permission machine. His recent permissions include: Kaddisfly, Racing Kites, The Perfect Mistake, Off Broadway, August Burns Red, A Billion Ernies, LoveHateHero… and those are just the blanket permissions. There are even more in the Permissions Subforum. HUGE thanks to DrugstoreCowboy.
So, to summarize: Crap-ton of new skill tokens in July means that I’m going to need a bunch more submissions to replenish the queue… and it just so happens that we have a huge new influx on Rock permissions to use for stepfiles.
You may now begin the praise. Be it for me, for the stepfile authors, the songwriters, the permission gatherers, the image makers. Or, heck, praise yourself!

Destiny to NOT Have Token #12.
I know many of you have been looking for a REAL challenge out of our Skill Tokens. Well, you have your first. Certainly not your last, and certainly not the hardest you’ll ever have…. but this one is pretty darn challenging.
As is stated in the Skill Token Page, Destiny v2 is unlocked via a very specific result on Destiny. What is that specific result, you might ask?
To unlock Destiny v2, you have to get EXACTLY:
313 perfects
0 goods
0 averages
299 misses
0 boos
I’m referring to it as the imperfect AAA. I will state that there is a trick to getting that score that’ll make it a bit easier. You still need to have skill, but if you figure out this trick, it’ll take away half the challenge. I’d like to request that if you figure out what this trick is, you keep it to yourself for a bit. I’d like for this to stay as hard as possible as long as possible.
About Destiny v2: It is the full version of the song Destiny by Kyle Ward, as opposed to the ITG cut used in Destiny v1. It is a low 4.5/6 on the Chardish scale, aka Challenging. I managed to AAA it without TOO much trouble, but i suspect it’ll be a fun FC for most, but a hard AAA. Very upbeat, as with all of Kyle Ward’s Smiley songs. PS – file is by hi19hi19, and is NOTHING like his famous Destiny file for StepMania.

PS – Just so you guys don’t think I’m doing all these evil reqs and then getting access to them myself without being able to do it… see the FFR Scores thread. I posted a SS of me doing it hours ago. I even had to do it a 2nd time about an hour ago to verify that the req was set up correctly in the database.
Limited Beta of Evil Profile Pets!
Some of you may have noticed the profile pets windows on some of the subscriber profiles. We have been testing a new feature for profiles that will transform a small section on your profile into a piece of a map that other / all profile pets can travel on.
What are profile pets? They are evil but they are starting out innocent. Profile pets are essentially their own entities on the server which think and move by themselves 24/7. Your pet is actually wandering around while you sleep, doing what it is driven to do.
While the feature set is currently low, we need the public to activate their profile pets over the next 24 hours so that we can load test the server and see what kind of demand 1,000,000 wandering and thinking profile pets does to the server.
After this first 24 hours, no new public members will be able to activate pets until version 1.3.
Use your imagination when you see this early beta. Think food, think audio, think pets stealing things, think of customizing, think of abused pets banning people out of their profile out of spite. Pets will be a feature you can turn on or off. Just like the profile chat.
Thanks everyone.. Just name that pet in your profile and let it go do it’s thing. You can follow it around via the link in the top of the profile pets window. You can give it food, clean it, free it from your pen and call it home. If your pet has wandered 20 or so profiles away and you call it, it takes about 2 seconds per profile when it is moving back at full speed.

FFR Radio, Back On Top!
Howdy guys,
After some fine tuning and major convincing, I’ve decided to have a comeback tour on the radio. So, expect me to be in there broadcasting fairly frequently at all hours of the day and night. Having some issues with my mic, so no speaking until I get that worked out… but awesome rockin’ tunes and your requests.
I’m even broadcasting RIGHT NOW. As of 10:00pm PST. Will update this when I get off as well.

Skill Token Updates And AdminCon Signoff …
We think everything should be working correctly for now. Please confirm that the skill tokens are working for us and let us know. Essentially if you received any of the skill tokens, they should be showing up now.
Please post in here if you still have issues. Also the skill token page will be updated in the next couple of days to properly show the current data!
On a final note from me, thanks for everyone’s patience these last couple of days as we are winding down on our massively busy week, where Rick0rz, Xelius, Nestlekwik, Tasselfoot, Synthlight and myself spent many MANY late nights and early mornings getting plans in place, testing ideas and moving FFR ahead.
A lot of FFR and its neighbors are going to see some love and get updates from profiles, to FFR, to SpinItUp, Metrivia, the FFR Video Chat and Rithum Gaming News. Pretty much all of the sites and sections have schedules for updates throughout this summer and if we can hit all our goals you guys are in for a big summer too!
A lot is on the way folks .. and the summer is just starting!

Skill Token Maintenance Underway
After 16 straight hours of working on the token system yesterday, it seems actually going to bed was enough for a problem to rear its ugly head and throw a wrench into the mix.
Skill tokens are still able to be earned and are stored on personal profiles, but for some reason, earned skill tokens are not appearing in-game under the skill token genre. A lot of people have notified us of this inconvenience and please know that we are working on this issue and will have it ironed out as soon as we possibly can. Thank you to all who posted the error.
On a side note, I just started posting on the front page this week. Are you guys sick of hearing from me yet?
Special AdminCon 2 Skill Token Addition
It’s going on 3 a.m. here in Chicago, whittling down our last hours in the Windy City, and after a day full of work, Rickz0rz has squashed out all the bugs plaguing the tokens and skill tokens. I personally tracked down all 21 tokens and nabbed as many skill tokens as I could to test the collection and my profile will attest, all the hidden tokens are accounted for. If you should still have token issues, though, please let us know in our handy, dandy FFR Bug Report forum.
In honor of Rickz0rz’s hard work, FFR players can put their skills to the test with the special release of a brand new skill token! After unlocking the newest skill token, the song V1 by Saxxonpike will be at players’ playing disposal, presenting a remix of V and Zero One into a 1:58 song. The file by Silver_Brian ranks in as a 7 in difficulty (3.5/6 on the Chardish scale), providing for steps that are medium in difficulty, complemented by a fair number of yellow notes and air steps.
How does one obtain said song? In the Dance category on the fourth page, there is a song titled Beethoven Virus. If you are able to clear Beethoven Virus with 435 or more perfects while having 2 or less misses, you will be awarded the shiny new skill token and be granted access to V1. The task is moderately difficult with 435 perfects being roughly 95% perfect accuracy, but I’m confident most players will be able to rise to the challenge and obtain the newest token addition.
Right now we are aware V1 does not appear on the skill token listing, but, rest assured, it is there for the taking.
On a side note, please, please, please, do not post the locations of our standard tokens on the Flash Flash Revolution site. Even after Synthlight’s warning in the previous post, we have had to take action against people posting the sacred information.
Also, some of you may notice we are toying around with something new in the profiles. While the feature is now working at its simplest form, we will be unleashing these bad sites site wide very soon with a ton of features. Keep checking back to see how our newest feature will evolve.

Token Token Token Lucky #21
Thank you everyone for being patient while RickZ0rz developed the new token system over the last 24 hours here at AdminCon2. The new system makes it much easier to add new tokens and you can expect for us to be giving you brain cramps during the entire month of July.
Today we kick it off with a token so difficult that you will want to going crying to your mommy. Clues? You want clues? I wouldn’t call this a clue but I would call it pointing you in the right direction, if you can call it that. The whale turns swiftly during the night in the cold waters.
As a reminder, you cannot give clues, post solutions, post links or give away any information on FFR that would help others with the tokens. If this rule is not followed, there will be consequences.
Other than that, enjoy! Expect MANY more tokens in the next 30 days. I don’t want to give away too much but this will definitely be a summer of FFR Tokens.
