Spontaneous Contest Winners Announced!
The contest is officially over and we apologize for the wait, but here are the results you’ve been waiting for. Each panel judge selected one photo a piece, and here are the winners of tonight’s spontaneous contest:

It’s good to be the King. Submission by DJ_Swabber.

My local Chik-Fil-A closed, so it’s good to see the cows are still getting work. Submission by WVUSaxyGirl.

Apparently this person knows I sometimes wear glasses – great photoshopping here. Submission by omg_its_manda.
All winners should check their private messages sometime in the near future to receive a coupon for the free shirt, which we will be able to mail to those who order as soon as Monday. As always, thank you to everyone who entered the contest and don’t give up hope if you didn’t win. There’s bound to be at least one more contest before the week is over …
I’ve been notified the token is still on its way and, one way or another, it will be posted before we retire for the night. Keep checking back and we’ll provide the clue to get you well on your way to another FFR song. If everyone is good, though, I might still release a bonus file tomorrow.

Spontaneous Contest Results Pending
It is currently 12:30 here and we have gone through all the submissions for the Stock the Admincon Fridge contest and I must say this has been the most interesting response I’ve ever seen. We have 20 pages of great submissions to sort through, so please have patience while we whittle the list down to three winners. I’m actually glad we chose to allow for three winners, because it’s hard enough to choose three favorites, let alone one.
Thank you to everyone who submitted a photo to the contest. It is much appreciated and the originality involved with the photos was fantastic. We will be back relatively soon to announce the winners …
And about the token, we’re finalizing some issues on our end here that is prohibiting us from adding a new token to the system at this moment, but we hope to add it real soon. If we fail to add it before we go to bed, I’ll make it up to everyone with an extra song tomorrow.
Be back really soon …
Spontaneous Contest #1330.. Codename: Henderson
Today was yet another productive day in the house. We unfortunately had to drive Tasselfoot to the airport around 5:30am. We were definitely sad to see him have to leave the group but believe me, the plumbing in the house is much better off without him.
Alright alright.. Let’s get down to business here.
With eight people in a house for an entire week, it was inevitable that sooner or later one of them would want something to eat. But when nestlekwik went to the fridge for a bite to eat, there was absolutely nothing in the fridge! Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to use your favorite photo editing software and put food in the fridge for all of the staff members at Admincon 2.
Open up Photoshop, Paint, whatever, and use your imagination to stock up the couple of free shelves in the fridge. While you’re at it, give nestlekwik a fu man chu and a nose ring. Whenever you’re finished, submit your doctored photo at the official Stock the Admincon Fridge! thread in the forums.
The contest starts now and ends at 12:00 midnight tonight (central time). Why midnight you ask? Because we need get ourselves out of this house tonight and see some of the city. Believe me when I say these guys deserve every second away from this house. When we get back, the group will judge the photo’s and decide a winner.
Tonight is unique because we will be giving away 3 of these shirts and each shirt will by signed by every admin and developer in the house. All 3 shirts will be sent out asap on Monday morning.
So get going and enjoy filling our fridge while we go enjoy some Chicago pizza. Below is that amazingly awesome photo that I took of nestle standing with the fridge open.

Don’t forget, use this link to POST YOUR ALTERED PHOTOS HERE.
Cheers,
Synthlight + Some very hungry people
Summer SpinItUpdate #1
Alright! The Spinfile of the Week is a nice and easy one for you all. It’s pretty much a constant stream of 8ths so I shouldn’t be hearing anyone complain about the song being too long, too fast, or too difficult. Now enjoy this lovely song by Extortion Labs. Andy D, the main man behind Extlabs enjoys a multitude of different musical styles and has made this song and a whole ep like it very rock, pop, and radio-ready despite the fact that his normal style of music tends to be breakcore a la The Flashulb:
Extortion Labs – Submarines [Difficulty: 3]
Thanks for everyone’s patience!

Two More Songs Publically Available
To start off your afternoon, two songs formerly available only to subscribers have now been made public for your keyboard smashing entertainment.
The first song file adds yet another Kyle Ward song to the mix with Take Me Back by KaW. Fans of In the Groove should recognize bits of the song as being implemented as menu music in the arcade game In the Groove 2. Take Me Back is rated 9 in difficulty (4.5/6 on the Chardish scale) and runs for 2:03 but most users shouldn’t find the file too difficult to clear. After a day of files with nothing but red and blue arrows, expert members will be glad to know they’ll be seeing yellows, purples and pinks in this file made for us by Brilliant. Air steps accent the thumping bass in featured in this song and a trill run toward the end will really test those looking for a AAA.
The second song is a new ASK addition to FFR, featuring a stepfile created for us by Cyanite. For those looking for more of a challenge than what yesterday’s files provided should flock to Sympathizer, ranking in at a 10 difficulty (5/6 on the Chardish scale). The song itself runs for 3:42 and is filled with air steps and trickier patterns to provide for a challenging step file.
Both of these songs can be found in the Dance 2 genre on page 5 toward the bottom of the list. Have fun and don’t forget new original material will be put online later today – don’t miss it!
OMGWTFBBQ Tass Made A Simfile?!?!
Yes… it is true. I have finally succumbed to the darkside and made a simfile. Albeit… one of the easiest files in the game. It’s by one of FFRs oldest artists, Antinomie. The file was gathering dust in Kwik’s basement (same with Killer Dance Floor. They were roommates.) The song is called Free Space. It’s 3:18 long, but I cut it to 1:08. Expect me to make a full version as a v2 later on that is a bit harder.
This continues and spearheads our effort to get more easy files into the game to please our less-than-skilled users, who may be less vocal… but are the majority. So no complaining if you find it too easy!!! It is easy on purpose.
You can find the file in the upper left of Dance page 1. Killer Dance Floor is now in the middle of the upper row of page 1 of Dance.
-Tass, newly crowned Simfile Author.
EDIT: We also would like to let you know that there will be a Spontaneous Contest tomorrow, a Token released tomorrow, and likely a Spin It Up file tomorrow.
FFR Radio At AdminCon 2.0
Quick little news story: Check out everything that is going on in the radio! Specifically, check out Station 5, where DJ Neko (littlenekochan) is broadcasting live from the Meeting here in Chicago.

FFR Blue Man
I thought it was about time that I surface this week and actually write something on the front page of FFR during FFR AdminCon 2. I was having some serious FFR posting withdrawl.
After a long few days of keeping everyone locked in the basement of this gorgeous house while I eat pizza flavored pringles, I thought it was time to release everyone out into the midst of the Chicago nightlife to experience Blue Man Group at the Briar Street Theater.
I suspected that everyone enjoyed the show.. but.. I had no idea just how much they enjoyed it until after the lights turned on and everyone posed for a picture just outside the theater.
And this is that picture..
Enjoy.
Cheers,
Synthlight

Admincon 2 Bonus Song #1 – Killer Dance Floor
To kick off the first of the bonus songs to be launched into public this week, nestlekwik presents Killer Dance Floor by Dj GULIT.
This is one of the songs, much like Bomb the Base, that has been on the backlog for years and is finally making its way into the game. Killer Dance Floor comes in as a difficulty of 5 (standard or 2.5/6 on the Chardish scale), making it just a tad harder than most of my stepfile creations. The song features massive amounts of streams, with plenty of air steps to punctuate the drum snares and standout vocals and synth. It shouldn’t be hard to pass or too hard to full combo, but with more than 500 steps in 1 minute 47 seconds, getting a AAA should be trickier than in most of my other step files.
**As of this time, we are aware of the issue on Killer Dance Floor that causes the game to give you an automatic game over if you select to replay the song at the results screen. Please be patient as we address this issue.**
Regardless, enjoy the song and look forward to more bonus content and events as Admincon 2 continues. While it hasn’t been immediately evident on the site, we have made a load of progress on new and existing features that should start popping up soon. In fact, we plan to add yet another bonus simfile onto FFR tonight, so keep checking back and bask in the glory that is the hard work of eight people with laptops sitting at a table in a house in Chicago. If time permits, we will also be holding a few events tonight, so stay tuned to get the details.
