2 Small Named, Big Hearted Hardcore Widgets – The Forgotten Archetype and Low On Air
The Forgotten Archetype
The Forgotten Archetype is a band from Beaverton, OR. There’s only two members in the band and they just got together in early 2007. All of their tracks are self produced on the computer. Ben and Nik continue to create unique experimental pieces daily. They’re trying to work up the money to afford a live show, so keep checking in on them. They’ve released an 8 track, self titled album available for download on their MySpace, and other than trying to play live, TFA’s only goal right now is to get their music out there as much as possible.

Low On Air
These guys are young but don’t let their age fool you! Ranging from 16 to 18 years old, these guys have been in the game for over 2 years now, playing anything from parties to huge shows with 500+ people in attendance. Formed in July 2005, Low On Air began as a group of kids just looking to have fun in their garage and maybe play in front of some friends from time to time, but their style and aggression toward their music quickly progressed into the fast pace and energetic mix of hardcore, experimental, and death metal you hear today. Just this past July, Low On Air self released their first 5 Track EP recorded at Foundation Studios under the producer Joey Stergis. Their fan base quickly increased with their new and better recordings along with over a 200% increase in profile plays every day on their myspace. They currently have plans to return to the studio in June of 2008 for 8 days to record and release their first full length CD. This 5 member band is looking to do bigger and better thing in their very near future. With the recent purchase of a Tour van and working with a tailor, Low On Air is looking forward to a very busy spring and summer schedule. Keep on the look out for these guys because they are sure to be in a town near you in the up coming months.
