    Religion-free!

Well, this being the critical board, I guess, why not, eh? What do you all think about homosexuality? I dotn' know, are we allowing religion to be dabated or no? Either way, I think it'd be amusing to see what people can come up with besides "Read Romans!"

Well... Homosexuality is a common thing these days
it is becoming more and more ok, with churches starting to accept it.
i just found out one of my friends is gay, and i would be lieing if i said i dont see him differently.
I dont want to judge him by the way he feels, but its he's decision

I think its ok, and i think our society is accepting it more and more

Homosexuality. I don't care about it as long as they don't try to force it upon me or anything. They can go get married, whatever, I don't care. Whoever opposes it is a dumbass, who cares?

Hmm . . . that's one thing. Have you talkedto him about it being a decision? More likely than not, he'll tell you it isn't. IF he decided to be gay, I'll be VERY surprised.

          thats very true
          i misthought
I know that many people do not decide to become gay, but that it is a way of life for them.

and i think that the reason that many people do not like the fact is because they will get "health benifits" and other junk like that, i know its just the goverment and the HMO and health care providers and junk, but i dont see why they can deny rights to a couple just based on the fact they are the same sex.

Religious debate is allowed until someone ruins it with their ignorance.

Homosexuals are a-okay in my book.

I'm confused, what? you're saying that people don't like the fact that homosexuals would be getting the same rights they already have? Or did I miss something?

I'd still like to know if anyone has anything non-religious against it, though.

this is what my summer school global teacher said

                heres the deal
Currently, if a husband works for a company, he gets benifits, and his wife and kids are covered
They are worried about having to cover the "significant other" as well... which makes no sence, its the exact same, just a different sex.

So, i dont agree with it, but thats how the corperations work.

yep, a lot of people wouldn't like it. I personally don't care whos gay or not, my philosophy is as long as you don't hit on me and keep your hands out of unwanted places, i could care less. However, a lot of people are reluctant to give gays rights, which is why gay marriage is illegal in most states.

Ok, so that's pretty much what I thought you were saying, then lightdarkness . . . People are odd.
"Guest," if a gay person hits on you, just brush it off. If straight girls hit on me, I just brush it off. It's not that hard.

That's good. It doesn't really matter if they think you're gay, so long as you know if you are or not . . . I suppose if one doesn't really know, it's no big deal either, but . . .
