"Exogenous" just means externally caused, as opposed to internally caused such as by your thyroid. This translates to "obesity that is your fault."

This is indirectly admitting that in lieu of all other solutions, giving someone a drug that just helps them stop fucking eating so much will actually get results.

I almost never prescribe opioids, for example, since drug addicts love to come in for emergencies to try and get them. One of my buddies had the cops come in and investigate his practice because some dude had been selling his narcs on the street. lmao

I seriously hope no doctor is prescribing amphetamines to their patients when they know the patient is just eating too much food. Not to mention there are other drugs that exist that are far safer for the average idiot and suppress appetite.

It should be noted that Vyvanse, despite being listed for treating ADHD, is also extremely effective at treating "exogenous obesity"
