    ITT: SGU

What did we all think of the Pilot?

(And did anyone else notice the Goa'uld ships when the planet blew up? (Everyone seems blind to that)

I have no complaints about the series so far, and my favourite characters are Rush and Eli.

I watch it... however, I perfer Atlantis and SG-1. SGU is just to storylike and I think Im just not used to it, but right now, I perfer SG-1 and Atlantis.

Edit: Forgot to post this. TO me, the show is to slow, Slower than its counterparts

I actually like the shift away from action in SGU. Never watched Atlantis, haven't seen that much of SG-1, but enough to know how the formula goes. Although all the reviews are calling it Battlestar Galactica lite... which may or may not be good.

It is like BSG, but it's still good and well put together. Definitely different than SG1 and Atlantis, but I was kind of getting sick of the same old formula for Stargate shows anyway. A different spin on the same concept is cool. At first, I thought those crystal thingimajigies that transport your consciousness to a person on Earth or whatever were a stupid idea since it takes away from the isolation of the people on the ship, but after the first few episodes I think they could be an interesting thing to toy with in the story.

Eli's the man. I kind of hate Rush but kind of like him too, he can just be a jackass sometimes. And I didn't notice the Goa'uld ships, that's interesting.

Errrr, the Goa'uld ships weren't piloted by the Goa'uld though....First second I saw them I thought "The Lucian alliance huh?", not "Goa'uld". They even say it is the Lucian alliance.

I'm surprised anyone missed them at all though, I guess some people weren't really watching the show eh?

The show is alright, I'm enjoying it well enough. Say....Did anyone see the Sun thing (the resolution of same anyhow) coming a mile away?
