    IMPORT CD's question

I have a question that I'm wondering if you guys can answer. I want to order a CD. It's DJ Tiesto's Magik Series off of Best Buy, BUT, it says that it's an IMPORT. Does that mean that I need a certain type of CD player to play it? Does it mean that I can't get it here in the states? What EXACTLY would it mean? Please help!

Here's the link: Shows all of the available CD's with the word 'Magik' in them.

    Thanks,

    Re: IMPORT CD's question

Hmm... that's not much help... You'd think the Wikipedia article about a digital medium like that would specify if the format has region settings.

Anyway, I'm confident that audio CDs are not region locked. A quick google of the terms "audio CDs", "region" and "locked" helped me to cement what I had already guessed.

        Re: IMPORT CD's question

It just means that the CD came from a different country. Unlike DVDs you don't need to worry about region-locked content and if it will play on your DVD player. CDs should work on any CD player, regardless of where it was made.
