    The idea of parody movies died with Scary Movie 2. Scary Movie 3, 4, Date Movie, and now Epic Movie are all failures to cash in on a craze that only lasted through 2000-2005.

                    Actually, I think it died after Airplane!, which in my eyes was the last great parody, madcap slapstick movie. Leslie Neilson tried with his slew of movies in the nineties, but it would never be the same again.

                                Airplane! is one of the best movies of all time. I disagree about your statement with Leslie Neilson though, I thought the Naked Gun movies were awesome.

                                Also, Hot Shots and Hot Shots Part Deux, they were both 90's and I found them to be hilarious.
