It's set to premiere on SpikeTV Thursday, but the first episode currently streamable online for free as we speak.
The series features Samuel L. Jackson (We got motherf*cking anime on the motherf*cking network) and music by the Rza.
The series revolves around a black samurai who's avenging the death of his father by hunting down Justice, the man who claimed the headband stating he's the strongest in the world by killing the samurai's father.
The show looked GOOD. The action sequences were well-animated and exciting to watch. The dubbing was pretty good, too. At times I felt the voice-acting was little cheesy in trying to sound cool, but overall I was satisfied.
Now as for the story...Dunno about that. Part of the premise was somewhat silly with the headbands and the "Number 1" and "Number 2" talk.
If you were watching Afro Samurai, you'd probably tune in mainly to see the action sequences and the "OMFG DID YOU SEE THAT" moments and not give much care to the story. Not that that's a bad thing.
There should be a link to the episode from there.
NFSW warning: The episode includes gratuitous amounts of fighting and pools of blood. Oh, and I think Samuel Jackson said the "f+/s word" in there. Yeah. I like inserting warnings.
