    Inside Man

Whorli and I saw this on Friday (along with Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector). I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread about it yet.

Basically, Clive Owen plans a perfect bank robbery. Denzel Washington realizes something is fishy but doesn't know what. And Jodie Foster is sticking her nose in on all of this because of some Nazi propaganda stored in a safe-deposit box owned by the bank's owner.

Very clever scheme throughout. I just hope that it is not realistic enough for an actual bank robbery crew to attempt. Or for police to now realize the scheme and thwart it.

Whorli and I recommend seeing this movie. LtCG on the other hand... worth seeing if you want mindless humor that will cost you a few IQ points in the process.

I heard it was mildly underwhelming.

And my friend won't see it because of his justice complex that makes him hate clever thief or clever heist movies.

Is this the movie where someone is called a "Bupkiss"?

Because if it is, I'm so there.

A muslim guy is called an Arab by a cop... but I do not recall any Bupkiss reference.

But, since I am promoting the movie... yes. There are SEVEN callings of Bupkiss. Go. See. Now.

              Re: Inside Man

I saw it a few times. There were a few little nits I had to pick with the actual robbery, but it is a very clever movie. The ending will leave you going, "Why the hell was that the last line?" but outside of a few little problems, it was highly enjoyable. Denzel was awesome.

I've been meaning to see this. I'll try to see it this weekend or next, if it's still in theaters.

I dunno. Denzel is known for choosing movies with corny ass scripts and cast members who can't decide if they want their character to have an accent or not...

If you're referring to Owen, it's my belief that he was just trying to confuse the police.

Of course, there was another british actor in the movie doing an impeccable English/American accent, and that was Denzel's partner. Had I not known that he was actually british, I would have thought him from Brooklyn.

I was talking about Tea Leoni in Man on Fire (that was Tea Leoni, right? Whoever it was, she sucks at staying in character for five seconds)

                      Clive Owen is a badass.
