Figured I'd post this here. I want advice on where to go from here etc. How to end it as well. It's a rave-ish breakcore track with lots of hoover, and lots of amen. I was going for a silly/fun vibe with this one.

Stealing DooDooCaca, random sounds that only appear once that don't add anything, eems like you go from imitating Sabrepulse to imitating Venetian Snares. Also the beginning is too long.

This is my own style... I'm not stealing from doodoocaca. I used that sample a total of one time, and I hadn't heard DooDooCaca before this. Who is Sabrepulse? The beginning is 26 seconds long. That's long? Last point of this comment is that telling me I'm apparently imitating someone isn't exactly helping, BUT you did include some constructive criticism in there, so I applaud you for that. Thanks for the comment.

Stealing was a harsh word, I meant that your music just sounds a lot like other songs/artists in certain parts.

Anger gone. I was just a little...puzzled. Sorry if I came off as an asshole. Anyway, so I sound like a lot of other tracks? Hmm. In what ways/parts exactly? The cheese rave stabs? Drum programming? I'd like to know so I can (somewhat) fix it. Don't expect too many drastic changes though, because it took me a while to get this far, and it would take me equally as long to rework the drum programming. Thanks for the feedback!

The breaks are pretty nucely string together... it reminds me a lot of blaerg's technique with his breaks. Your hoovers are really, really thin.

Loved the song.
Like said before in the thread, sounds similar to VSnares and SabrePulse, but not like that is a bad thing IMO.
Just tweak that mastering a tiny bit more and the song will be deadly.

Thin as in needing some EQing, Or a lack of character? Do you think there should be more variety in the stabs and their use?

I'm sorry you're getting such lame feedback on this man. I'll be outright this is fantastic. Your attention to detail is ridiculous. The pitch shifted stabs really work with this one and are well handled. The drum sequencing is light years ahead and amazingly clean. You're putting out what alot of breakcore artist are doing their best to achieve. To say this sounds anything like venetian snares is a bit much. I can handle Vsnares maybe once in a while, and after seeing the guy live, I've lost almost all of my respect for what it is he does. Sure Vsnares has the breaks down, but pad is throwing in alot of fun melodies and breaking that really keeps me interested.

Sabrepulse... Is there another sabrepulse out there that I haven't heard of ? If sabrepulse put out music like this 90% of his listener's heads would explode.

The Equalization is actually pretty well done.

also, keep in mind.. The kid is like what... 15 years old ?

Well, not exactly a hoover, but not exactly a rave piano stab. The main rave sample used.
Whatever you'd call that. It pitches down like a hoover, but it maintains more of a straight key than normal hoovers. Anywho, since I have been told by multiple people to do this, I'm gonna try to boost the mids on the drums a little without messing up the mix (or, whatever there is of a level mix.) too much. I suck so bad at EQing/Mixing though. After working on these for a while, I can never tell what's lacking and what has too much as far as EQ goes.
