At this point, I basically only post here when there's an album I hope to get second opinions on from one of the 3 people that still read this. This has overtaken not-Radiohead for the current #1 album of the year on RYM but I know for a fact that it's not gonna last long on the throne. This is 100% not the type of music that internet nerds will admit to enjoying more than sadboi indie like Wall of Eyes, but it's something I personally enjoy more in this particular case. Lots of fun, no bad tracks, and the perfect length at just shy of 45 minutes. I don't have any complaints!

Eventually I'll dump my ratings for albums I've listened to since January that I can't be assed to write at least 2 sentences for, even though nobody cares.

Best Track: Off With Her Tits (there's several other competitors but I'm picking this one solely so I can write that phrase here)

We are SO BACK, BABY!

...yeah probably not, but anyways these guys got an INSANE amount of hype for this album and for a while it was #1 of the year on RateYourMusic charts. My friends had tickets to see them live (before they cancelled the tour for mental health reasons or something) but shit sold out immediately and resale was well over $100.

This is a pretty good album, but I think part of everyone's reason for admiring it so much is what makes it hard to admire for me. That being the length of over 2 fucking hours.

And we end this little review with no real conclusion. Hell yeah, BACK!

you probably thought this thread was dead - truth be told, it may as well be dead

since before this came out even, ive been wanting to make a post about this talking about how much this album is a perfect example of how real-world context, both personal and detached, can really affect one's listening experience, and i was gonna talk about how steve albini is the single person who influenced my music hjourney the most (largely bc of conversations we had on his message boards), and i also probably was gonna connect that to some argument about why i think "seperating art from artist" is absolute nonsense without any regards to ethics
