    My Very First Songs

I'm new to this particular forum, so hello.
I started writing yesterday and since then have come up with two songs, both ~2 minutes. Here's previews

I need criticism, i designed all of the synths myself but i'm extremely new to the electronic music production world. Haha it was a blast making these though!

I'll send you the full songs, 320 kbps if you want them

    Thanks for any opinions/help

Feels kinda empty, but that's normal since they are some of your first song. It's actually an impressive combo you have there! I'm no pro in making music, but I suggest using a tad more bass if you can.

(bumping this for the real pros to see!)

Welcome to the musician's side of the forum!

Checked out both tracks and I really enjoyed your synth choices, especially in the Bahahah demo (the lead synth with the slight portamento on it is great, I love those kinds of leads).

I honestly don't think you started 'writing' yesterday. You have a great grasp on chord progression, usage of gates, a solid foundation for pads, LFO, and and you're in the right direction for percussion. First time sequencing maybe? Or do you mean you started on these tracks in particular yesterday?

For Come Demo - I totally like the lead and the little squares in the background. The gated synth at 0:36 doesn't fit quite as well as some of the more mellow sounds in the track (maybe because it's too sharp or mid-ranged). Something to mess around with, try using the filter cut to have it focus on the low end and when you do introduce it, maybe layer it with other bass synths. I really like the drums you have in there. They can be spiced up with some reverb The hi hats you have are good. I would suggest using more than just the hat and rimshot (maybe 1-2 more hat samples) and have them vary in velocity so it doesn't sound as 'sequenced' and more human. I feel like the hat is taking my attention away from the really nice lead and melody you have.

What DAW and VSTs are you using Cheers on the solid music!

Thanks for the feedback, I currently have Massive, Omnisphere, and Sylenth. I'm most fluent at Massive currently, and I have been playing piano and guitar for around 10 years, but this is the first time i've arranged something ever! I got some tips on using ableton and FL studio, but i learned Massive for myself :P
