An arrange of an arrange of the Cutie Mark Crusaders song

Finished with this pretty quickly 'cause I got the project file handed to me.
And no, I haven't caught the pony bug, I just jack off to everything Kil makes.
His original arrange had some really grating synths and sounded like it could benefit from better samples and mastering so I gave it a go.

Also played around with new guitar amps for rhythm and lead, and messed around with synths for about a million years before I finally managed to come up with something I liked.

It feels a little weird posting this when Assault's still almost at the top of the page, but whatever, it's a new week so I (don't really) have an obligation to post a new song.

To be fair, at least 80% of this was written by Kil so it's really not an arrange as much as it is a simple cover. Kil has always been really really good at writing but less good at mixing and he's always used really basic samples which really hampers many of his songs, especially this one. I wanted to fix that, so I did.

And it really doesn't surprise me that it reminds you of Falcom if you look at Kil's influences and his general writing style. )
