ABOUT THE SHOP

Ye Olde Photoshop Shoppe is a graphics request thread created by me so I can spread my work across the FFR community (and get a few credits, I suppose). I've been working in Photoshop for a little over a year now, and my specialty is forum signatures and avatars. As you can tell from the sub-title, however, I also do banners.

THREAD GUIDE

SECTION 1 - Rules of the thread

Let's get the obvious out of the way: follow the forum rules. Now let's talk about my rules.
1. Do not post questions about your request in the thread. PM me about it. You can post what you think about the finished product, and you can post general questions about the thread. Questions about the thread will be answered in the thread because they may serve others useful.

2. Don't spam the thread. This means don't converse about things not relating to the thread.

3. Don't be an ass if you want your request to be completed at all. If you request something, and then start to bug me about when it will be done, then I'll drop the request and move on to the next one.

4. Don't request renders. I rarely do renders because I'm not experienced. This doesn't mean I won't use renders in your requests, but I won't render anything for you.

5. Some credit for my work would be nice. If I make a banner and you use it on your profile, a Random Thought entry about who made it and where would be really cool of you. This isn't a requirement, but if you could mention me then I would be grateful.

6. Do NOT post requests in my comment wall. They will be ignored. If you wish to have a request finished please post it in the thread and follow thread protocol.

7. This should be obvious: you MUST have PMs enabled for me to send you your request. I will not post it on your comment wall, IM you with it, or e-mail it to you. End of story.

SECTION 2 - Shop protocol

When requesting something, please try to specify as much as you can. I don't mind going back and editing your request if you're not satisfied, but this can be prevented if you clearly specify what you want. Usually you would want to tell me things like: match your profile, what style you want it, what the text should say, what size it should be, etc. Also be sure to tell me if you request and avatar and a signature, if you want the avatar to match the signature, or even if you want a banner to match your signature.

Upon your request, I will add you to the "EN QUEUE" list towards the bottom of this thread. This means that I have read your request post, and you're on the list to have your request(s) completed.

You should expect to wait a minimum of 24 hours for your request to be completed. Many times, it will take less time than this, but if I'm busy then you may have to wait a day or more. If you have been on the "EN QUEUE" list for 3 days or more, then you may PM me about the delay. I'm very sorry if this ever happens.

After your request(s) have been completed, I will PM them to you along with my own little comments. After you have replied to my PM to let me know that you are satisfied, then I will add you and a link the finished results to the "COMPLETED REQUESTS" list. Once I have sent the PM out, you will remain on the "EN QUEUE" list until I receive a return PM, however, there will be an asterisk denoting its completion.

Upon the event that you should decide to use a banner you have requested on your FFR profile, I will add your profile link to my "MY WORK ON FFR PROFILES" list.

SECTION 3 - Appreciation

At first glance, this section probably makes me look like a conceited ass; note true. Showing appreciation for my work is not a requirement of the thread, it's just a nice thing to do. Some ways you can show appreciation for my work, and help out the thread:
1. Use what I make your for! It's the simplest thing you could do. If you use them, and people ask about them, tell them where it came from. Tell them who made it, tell them how much you like it, etc.

2. It's a rare thing to do, indeed, but if you happen to like anything I've done enough to put a link to the shop or mention my name in your sig, then go for it.

3. Post a random thought on your profile. It's a pretty effective way of getting traffic to the shop. If someone sees an avatar I made you, clicks on your profile, and then sees the random thought (or a banner I made and then the random thought) then the know where to go to get something like it.

Could I possibly get a signature? Something with a dragon, and with a purple-grayish color scheme, kind of like my profile. Actually, I wouldn't mind a matching avatar, as well. If you can make 'em real cool, I'll gladly pay you 5,000.

If anyone has been waiting for a while its because I had a few things to do this morning and evening. I'll be working on banner and sigs and playing FFR of and on all night, so expect them to be done soon!

I have everyone's done so far except for Fido's banner. I've sent you all PM's, and once I get a return from you I will take your request off the EN QUEUE list and place your name and the link to the finished products on the REQUESTS COMPLETED list.

EDIT: Zero ninja'd me.... now I have everyone's done but Zero's and Fido's.
