    Why can't I mute discord?!

    I am trying to lower the volume of discord because my friend is too loud and no matter what I do, Discord won't let me change the volume, increase of decrease. I even disable my sound and I still hear him in voice chat very loudly! It's so annoying and upsetting. What and why is happening

                      I shouldn't need to go into settings every time I want to lower the volume, i should be able to use the volume buttons on my keyboard
                      is that tgruly the only way??

                          Each person in a voice channel has a volume slider if you left click their name.

                          Reinstall if that's not working, cuz the client is probably bugged at that point.
