See, I just updated Skype, and I never could remember my password nor could I figure out how to change it after extensive attempts to change it and attempts to log in to Skype on my laptop. Now I updated Skype and it logged me out on my main computer and I can't get back in; I cannot remember my password!

I have tried resetting the password to my account but the main email address is one I cannot access anymore and I tried to change it before but I needed my password for my Skype account to change it so I couldn't change it.
I don't know what to do now.

Simple: Stop using Skype and use something like Telegram or Discord :>

I'd go with:

start Skype desktop app > Problems signing in? > "Contact Support" link at the bottom of the page

If you don't have access to messages sent to that email address anymore, then support's probably the only route, barring making a new account.

It's probably worth noting that pre-microsoft skype had their own login usernames and now there are two separate possible credentials that can be used. Make sure you are using the right thing.

There is never going to be a good chat service until it is the one every single person uses. It's really annoying having 5+ chat clients open.

Until my friends start migrating over to another chat client, then no, I will keep using Skype.

It'll be how WLM worked for me from 2006-2011 or something.

This pretty much, a nicer chat service is useless if you have no one to talk to.

I fixed it by logging into Facebook because one day I apparently synced my Skype with my Facebook.

Please follow the upcoming steps.
1)Get a corn flakes box
2) Get the corn flakes bag inside the box
3)Dump the corn flakes inside the bag onto your keyboard
4)Get milk
5)Pour it on your keyboard
6)Get a spoon
7)Eat your corn flakes
8)Try using your keyboard

If it is not working

9)Realize how much of a dumbfuck you are for doing this

If it is still working

10)Throw your keyboard out of the window

A side note that Team Pony already moved over 75% of what used to be our Skype chat to Discord, and it's working out nicely for us, the only people we haven't been able to coax into getting on Discord with us is the people that would rather die than give up the Skype, albeit our skype chat has been majorly inactive for months now.
