Problem sharing a connection.

Hi, i have 2 computers.
Windows 7 -1 named W71, and Windows 7- 2 named W7 - 2

I added a network card to W7-1 so now it have 2 network cards.
I clicked on properties of my second card and set the share connection options to enabled.

Now my problem is, i have no idea how to config my W7-2 to use the network card on W7-1.

In other words i need to config my client pc to be able to use the ICS internet connection sharing.

I doubt anybody can help but it doesnt cost anything to ask.

I'm pretty sure all you need to do is create a bridge. Could you please draw me a quick network diagram in MSPaint or whatever? Label all your interfaces (network cards) and be clear of what's coming out of what. With this I'll be able to help you. Here's an example of what I'm asking for:

I loled when i saw the server on one side of the comp, and the router on the other side lmao.

I'm pretty sure all you need to do is create a bridge. Could you please draw me a quick network diagram in MSPaint or whatever? Label all your interfaces (network cards) and be clear of what's coming out of what. With this I'll be able to help you. Here's an example of what I'm asking for:

That's how my home set-up is. I don't get what's so funny...

I think maybe he was expecting either the server to be in the middle or both server and workstation to have direct connections to the router. (It is assumed the router has a direct connection to the global Internet in some way)

One reason you may want to have your workstation in the middle like that, though, is if you are using it as a customized firewall for the server.

Anyway, I don't know right off hand how to fix the initial problem there but I'd suggest looking all over google, msdn, and wikipedia. I'm sure it's not terribly uncommon, so it's bound to be out there somewhere. Or just play around with it some more.

Since you're directly connecting one computer to another, and not with a router in the middle or anything, you probably have to do something like add the MAC address of one of the network cards into some configuration somewhere on the other computer. Because they won't have IP addresses at that point.

Also, fido's trying to help you, so I don't know that it's a good idea to be laughing at him. ;-)

Sry for the confusion, i wasnt laughing at anybody, thx alot for your help guys. The drawing was just vry far away from what i had in mind, sry again.
