it's not being made anymore. And the new version has a wacky alt button that loses sensitivity over time.
I found it last month somewhere online and got it for ~$40-50, I forget. It's pretty good, but not perfect. It seems to like to squeak if I press the keys a certain way, and I don't like that. I also don't like the |\ button to the left of the space bar, it's really out of place and it makes my ctrl/win/alt buttons smaller which I don't like. Especially in games, trying to hit the ctrl button seems very cramped compared to my laptop's keyboard. The insert button is also in an insanely weird spot as well.
Mechanical switch keyboards are the only keyboards for me ever since I got the Razer Blackwidow.
Cost me $80 (not worth the extra 40 for the ultimate) and is amazing. Mechanical switch boards feel MUCH different than regular keyboards.
They have a "clacky" feel to them, but the keys are extremely light to press. Get something with a Cherry MX Black or Red switch. All the others
are tactile switches. Meaning you don't have to press all the way down to actuate the key, which really isn't necessarily unless you do a lot of typing.
While smashing keys, you're not worried about how far down you have to press, so it's not worth looking into them.
There is no other keyboard I can recommend save for this one:
Logitech illuminated keyboard by day:

This keyboard is not only slim, but it offers a dynamic FFR-gameplay experience. The touch response is fantastic, and you'll never skip a beat. I think you'll be paying around USD$80 - In Australia, it cost me $120, so you will know it is a good keyboard. I actually brought it here to Korea yesterday, because I can't trust the keyboards here for the official tournament! You won't be disappointed.
I had the Razer Lycosa for about two years and compared to the Logitech Illuminated, it's really a third-rate keyboard ; it just fixed all the problem I had with Lycosa (good key lighting ; no driver bug ; only one usb port necessary and no retarded tactile zone that you never touch because of how awkward it is to try to do something with it)
looking foreward to wc's opinion on the whole Kensington 64365 vs. 72357 debate. (upload a preview vid on youtube?)
I'll be ordering one of them soon.
With the new model, all I care about is that it produces the same orgasmic sounds that have teased me for so long in owa's vids, and that it has the same feel as the previous model.
why would i upload a preview video its a keyboard there isnt anything to preview lmao
ON TO HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS KEYBOARD
i like it. it took a bit of getting used to(im still getting use to it) but i really like the way this keyboard plays out. it has more feedback than my laptop keyboard which is awesome and im already a bit faster than i was with my k120. its a bit early to say whether or not this will impact my scores much but i think it will

Ok, bad wording on my end.. I was just suggesting that because I was looking for a *good* slimtype keyboard that produced a nice, sharp, crisp key tapping sound..
and also the fact that there were no vids on youtube demonstrating this particular KB.
The KB I have right now gives a hollow, dull sound that's more difficult to sense the definite sense of rhythm on.
Since you already *have* the keyboard, I just wanted to make sure I know what I am getting before I rush off and order it.
TL;DR - does the *new* kensington 72357 sound like this or not? thanks, wc~
you can make it sound like that if you hit the keys hard enough but i dont so its a lot quieter. but i dont use sound to distinguish rhythms i use touch so this isnt much of a concern for me.
