Re: Hey guys.
Hey Phynx and Lemon! Great to see you guys again~ It's great to see people finding FFR even after this break - it shows just how acknowledgeable, influential and succesful FFR has, and will continue to be.
Welcome to a soon-to-be-restored FFR, thriving with the smart or dumb, skilled or unskilled, foruming or spamming, gaming or chatting FFR community we once were, and will be.
Ps: Damn, I wish I can change my username to "Subin".

Re: Hey guys.
You know, I think the opposite is true. I'm pretty happy that new users are already finding their way here, and I'd have assumed you'd feel the same way.Comment

Re: Hey guys.
I do like new members, to any community I'm involved in, it's just it seemed moments before FFR died that the newcomers, well a lot of them seemed to ruin the community. I won't blame any particular set of them nor any individuals and I won't blame new people, I just hope the new folks coming in bring a good light to FFR and not shadow it.

Re: Hey guys.
The blue files (Which we call 'Synth files') hearken back to when Synthlight had to make the files in notepad, which was an incredibly imprecise way to implement things. We later had access to much more accurate ways of making files, and eventually also added in the arrow colour-coding to make it easier to read patterns on the fly.
However, if you stick around, you'll notice we're big on the history and nostalgia around here, and so the original files have been left as-is so people can experience the way FFR used to be as compared to how it is now. You'll eventually get through them!Comment

Re: Hey guys.
While I already have a thread dedicated to me, I might as well ask the masters... Since I use two hands to play (AS/:") and I'm just horrible at doing any complex patterns, such as triplets or trills or whatever they're called, with my left hand; you guys know any good songs to practice on (StepMania or FFR)?Last edited by Guest; 10-19-2010, 10:02 AM.Comment

Re: Hey guys.
Flight of the bumble bee (Classical) BB Revenge (Skill Token) The Final Fantasy (Dance1) Asteroid Run (Funk) and there's a few others. I suggest going through and playing every file and jotting down which ones do. Not only will you see every mad pattern, but you can figure out for yourself what songs to use as practice.Comment
