Keyboard setup

Hey,
I changed my setting from the arrow keys to have "z", "x", ".", and "/" be my keys. I seem to do better but my friend says that arrows are better, and he has been playing this for the past 5 months at least (he is a beast).
"z"-left mid
"x"-left index
"."-right index
"/"-right mid

So any comments on pros v cons?

yeah one major one, the z is near the shift key and if you jack hard enough you might hit the shift key 5 times and turn on sticky keys :P its happened to me haha

na not rly , keep it on playin the way u prefer , at least there aren't any cons or pros , rly dude , just do the way , in which u do the best tho =D

Spread is easier, but I think someone said that Arrow keys can help over come jacks. Probably bmah.

its all opinions. i prefer spread over arrow keys but other prefer arrow keys over spread. there are great players in both categories.

The only ADK: player, maybe? I dunno, maybe other Solo SM players this too.

I prefer arrow keys over spread (since I'm an index/pad player, I never got into KB files)
But its really about personal preference, just use a key setup that makes you feel comfortable.

my setup is much like yours so I guess I could be considered as an adk: player because if I switch to that setup then my right hand would have to move only one key to the right, and sometimes for laughs I play a, d, :, enterkey just to get a nice key tap sound whenever a right arrow comes up.
