    What is running man?

I hear this pattern talked about a lot, and I've not been able to figure out what it is.

    Can anyone fill me in?

Like if you were to do the running man in real life, alternating feet.

No, a trill is a musical term. It means the same held note wavering between two pitches at an insane speed.

Anyone who ever played Track & Field for the NES on a power pad will know exactly what running man is.
