Ranking?: "Rank", "Your Best Rank", &quo

Just wondering if someone could please explain to me:

1) What the different rankings mean eg. "Rank" and "Your Best Rank" shown when you complete a song and "Overall FFR Ranking" shown on the main FFR page, and

2) Why my Overall FFR Ranking seems to be stuck on 103687, even after playing 75 games

By the way i'm using the fullscreen Beta version

Rank is the rank you just got on that level, your actually score
Your Best Rank is the highest score you got on that level ever against everone else
and Overall Rank only updates once a day at 4AM due to a huge ammount of DB queerys that need to be executed.

Thanks for the quick reply, but why doesn't "Rank" show the same value as "Your Best Rank" just after you get a personal best on a song?

Also, about the Overall Rank problem, I've been playing since friday (today's tuesday) and still it hasn't been updated :S

One other thing, several times now I've gone to download a song I havn't played before, and it's got stuck (stopped downloading) on a particular percentage. When I restart FFR and go to download it again, it will "resume" at that same place it stopped, but it won't download any further. Even though other songs will download first go no problem. Should I just "clear my cache" as they say? Problem is will this mean I have to download all the songs again? (I'm on a modem :'()

Ok the Overall Rank's been updated, but I've still got the song downloading problem any ideas what's causing it? should i clear my cache even if i'll have to download all the songs again?

This is nothing big. your best rank for that song will be updated the next time you play it.

He was wrong, right now it's actually only being updated about once a weeks, because it really takes quite a while to update, and people, like me, use ffr during 4:00 am. FFR time. THat's prime time for me.

Ouch, yeah, I wouldn't recomment clearing your cach on a modem. I find sometimes, my songs will stall at say, 20%, but then a few minutes later it will jump to 80%, it's just not showing me it's progress. That should be the only problem. Otherwise, refresh the page, but I wouldn't clear your cache with a modem, unless you're watching something good on tv at the same time.

I don't know what time zone it is but it definately isn't eastern time. I'm eastern time and there's about an 8 hour difference on the ffr clock, unless I use www.xqsite.com (ffr's other server)

Thjis is the FFR siggy tool. It has a whole bunch of neat functions. There is a sticky about it in the ffr general chat forum that will tell you all you need to know about using it.
