Hi there! I see you have one of the Vocaloids for your avatar. I forgot her name, though.

So do you think you're good at playing FFR?

I AM ASHAMED OF MY STUPIDITY AND MUST COMMIT SEPPUKU. FORGIVE ME, FFR.

        かさね。。。かね。。。?
        Got it!

Well, if you keep playing, you'll eventually get better at it! Though you should get StepMania to hone your skills, since it's way~ better than training via FFR (since you can just mash all the arrows).

well actually the reason why stepmania is better for training is because it has a higher FPS and also forces all of the notes to visually appear at the exact time they go to the song, which vastly improves your ability to read patterns as part of the music
the big differences between how stepmania and ffr play:
            1. FFR's lifebar is VERY lenient (a perfect gives as much life as a miss takes away); stepmania, on a life setting of 4 at least, requires approximately a 10:1 ratio of hits to misses to keep your lifebar stable
            2. FFR has no timing window that hits a note but breaks combo; mashing fast will keep combo on any pattern, stepmania will punish you for going too fast with goods and boos
            3. Stepmania treats two or three note chords as a single cohesive unit; to hit a chord you have to hit all of its notes, and it will not judge you until the last note of it is hit. this also means that if you have a pattern that's like
            xx..
            x...
            xx..
            x...
            xx..
            you can hit it as
            xx..
            xx..
            xx..
            xx..
            xx..
and you won't get any early hits because the notes of the second column can't register as hit until the notes of the first column that come at the same time are hit. (the extra taps just vanish quietly, stepmania has no concept of a guitar hero 'overstrum' or an ffr boo)
however, on ffr if you tried to do that you'd find yourself hitting early and hitting boos consectuveiyl
