Sounds good! Just work your way up the difficulty scale, and just keep practicing. You'll get the hang of it....

Before you get comfortable with playing styles, try spread. It's the best style to play harder songs with.

What is spread? I am playing the way a friend taught me. I use all 4 of my fingers and I use them on the asdf keys.

All four of your fingers on one hand or two hands? Because spread is using your pointer finger and middle finger on both of your hands...It works better spread out; an example would be askl or zx./. Anyway, welcome to ffr, and remember: practice, practice, practice!

That's spread. but you can change what keys you use to whatever is most comfortable to you.

When in the game, go to settings and change the keys to whatever you like.

ok yah I am not very comfortable using asdf. I might use something like sdio because that feels comfortable to me. Thanks for the help everyone. And yeah I do use 2 fingers on each hand. Can someone help me out with a tournament issue? I wanted to compete in Gun92s tournament called Gun92s ye old tournament but I dont know how to sign up. I asked if I could join but nobody said anythin.

All you have to do is say that you are joining. (In the case of Gun92's tournament, you also get to choose in which division you'll be. Since you are new, you should obviously be in the Novice division. )

For the most part, in the tournement threads, you simply post in the thread saying you'd like to participate.

I haven't looked at that tourney, so idk if admissions are closed or not.

If you post right on the thread saying "In" or being completely clear that you want to join the tournament, just wait, you'll be in definitely. Read the OP (Opening Post) for updates, round start dates/end dates, round songs, ect.
