I personally use 2.0x, but i would use 2.25x if i was subscriber.
Though you should try them all and check what works the best for you

Everyone uses different speeds.
I use 1.875x(sub speed, I use 1.75 on regular)
But some people are fast enough to do 2.
Its all preference.

Anyway, I personally use 2.15x (I think unless I changed it back to 2.0x in my rage), what everyone else is saying, it's all preference. Now personally what I would do is, try each speedmod, find one you're comfortable with, then play the one ABOVE it. For example, if you like 1.75x, play 2.0x for about 30 minutes or so, then switch back to 1.75x. This should make things easier for you. Also, don't expect anything wonderful happening at the change of your speed mod. It takes time and practice. Hope this helps.

I prefer 1.75x, but 1.875x (subbie rate) is doable also. Anything faster or slower screws up my PA.

i use 1.75 and thats what ive been using for 2 years now.
works fine. even on some of the dense songs like reality and ketsa, you can still read teh pattern.
but in the end, its whatever you are comfortable with. you can base how good you will be on how everyone else plays and the speeds they use.
Just spend a week or so on a different speed mod, then another week on another. Then try to determine which one best fits you

I'd personally recommend anything above 1.50x in order to consistently get AAAs. But, when it comes down to it, like the others said, it's all about personal preference and what you're comfortable. Judging by the comment made by the user below, you an use speeds of 1.25x and below, but it's usually difficult without knowing how to screen cut.

I use 2.0 and 2.15 just cause I use 850+ cmods on SM and if i go back from SM to like 1.75 or something it seems really condensed and hard to read for me.Comment

I use 2.0x, and I've been using that for almost a year now. I suggest moving up slowly until you find a speedmod you're best with. I started with 1.25x, which soon felt slow for me as I got better. It became the same with 1.5x and then with 1.75x.

When I first played, I started with 1x. Then a few days after I played with 1.5x for a while. And then a couple days ago, I switched to 1.75x. It really depends however.Comment
