Song got Deleted?

hi, i uploaded a stepmania simfile here called "rainbows" made by me and my girlfriend and stepped by me.. and now it's deleted?
any reasons why a song can be deleted just like that?

The simfile database crashed or something similar recently, lots of files got deleted. It's back up and working now, though the files were deleted such as yours haven't been restored. I read from a non-staff member that they're trying to restore these deleted files, don't know if that's really true, but there may be hope your file will be back up eventually.

Though if you still have the file you can just reupload it of course, it won't be deleted again.

That only matters if it's being submitted to the actual game. If you're submitting it to the Simfile DB then it doesn't.

Actually your all WRONG..


I remember some songs were removed due to legal rights. I specifically remember an M1DY song being removed, but the file was still there. It just could not be downloaded.

p.s. Its rare that a song artist will be notified and want their song removed from the DB but it can happen

Actually your all WRONG..

No one is wrong in what they've been saying. The simfile DB did go down, all files from April 20-somethingth to near the end of May got deleted because the Resonance file parser went brain-dead. You would have been much better off posting the m1dy part without sounding like a complete smart ass with your implication of us being all wrong.

Well, what they've been saying is "You can submit copywritten material to the Simfile DB" and while you have the ability, if at any time any artist whose songs have been put into the DB tells us to remove them, they will be deleted.
