Pretty much what tango said, also getting the highest rank in the song and what tango didnt mention, highest possible score (although it was implied)

In the past where avmisses made several songs impossible to AAA, the other meaning that AAA is getting the highest score possible had much more significance. Now, it's more or less getting all perfects in the song, although there are still a few songs that AAAing would just not be feasible.

What bmah said - in the context of FFR an AAA is the best possible score on a song. Nowadays it's technically possible to get a full perfect combo on every song if you can manage to hit on the right frames, but in the avmiss days, when two notes were too close together on the same arrow, it was literally impossible to hit a perfect on both. For instance, if I recall correctly the best possible score (an AAA) on Nova Pulser was 4 goods.
