Here are some tips:

1. Try your best to spell everything correctly. Most likely you won't get trolled at if you at least try.
2. Don't double-post (I know, you probably already know not to)
3. Don't take everything too seriously (same as before)
4. You don't need to quote somebody for them to know you are talking to them. Sometimes just doing :insert name here: works. (e.g. Ultimat_Guitarist: Hi, just felt too lazy to quote you, dude.)
5. Lists are your best friends, but sometimes people hate them with all their heart and flame you for it.
6. Never be too sure of yourself ;D
7. Avoid internet short-hand as much as possible. There are a few exceptions, and some tolerance.
