    Muliebrity

    Hellow! I'm Mulie. o_o

I've been playing FFR for about four years, on and off, without ever really taking the game seriously. Y'know... using one hand (and four fingers including thumb), arrow-smashing and not bothering to improve my score... Well, after playing MP for a while, I noticed my Boo count was horrendous compared to most of my opponents'. So I changed to spread style and continued playing that way til I got used to it, and could do difficulty 8 songs without much of a problem; and now I've decided to take the game seriously.

I'm getting better fast with this new style! I like it. There's a lot of people whose talent is around my level, and I'd like to change that... by improving my own. I may go back to using one hand once my overall skill level is good enough to be considered 'pro'.

Right now I'm using the keys "df,." and using the 1.5x speed mod. Today I may change it to 1.75x. Oi!

Welcome to your serious FFR start. =D

Be careful who you mess with, especially on the one handed side, you'll be quite surprised at how good some of the one handed players are. =)

As far as the forums go, read the stickies and rules so you don't do anything wrong.

Hello and welcome. Glad to hear you switched to spread; it's the best way to see quick improvements, and it has the most potential anyway.

As you hit harder levels, like the Very Challenging area, the arrows will get faster and more condensed. Then it would probably be prudent of you to try moving your speed mod up.

Hey, Mulie. Welcome to the forums. =)

I also happen to play spread on 1.5x. It's amazing isn't it? I love it.

Anyways, I'll have to advise against you returning to one handed play after utilizing spread for so long. You will definitely see a skill regression. Your physical capabilities with two hands and four fingers are more than what you could do with one hand. In the end, it's up to you, but you will continue getting better at a much faster pace if you stick with spread. Just lettin' ya know.

Oyah, I'm aware; but I like being different.

I doubt I'll be going back to using one hand four finger, but maybe I'll use 3 fingers... or maybe I'll index. Shrug; whatever works.

BY THE WAY, I donated to the community last night, in the form of a payed subscription. How long will it take to come in effect? I want my Elite Supporter tag. D=

JasonKey does them fairly frequently, so you could get it today, or perhaps within the next 3-5 days.

Your subscription time won't start until it's activated though, don't worry.

Funny thing: Muliers = Latin for "woman."

A lot of people will tell you that playing with two hands and two fingers from each hand is the way most of the best players do it, although there are some aberrations that have alternate styles and still kick ass.

Good luck, have fun and don't feed the trolls.

This is the sixth day since I've sent the payment for my subscription. Since this transaction has already been registered as a subscription on Paypal, my precious $4.50 will be sent monthly, regardless of when it's cleared. Not that I really care about five dollars.

Who can I contact about this?
