how do i play multi player?!?!?

i know how to bring it up and starta game..
but when i go to press keys to play..
im not hitting any of the arrows..
i dont even know which side im on..

can somone give me like a full rundown on how multiplayer works??

I'm pretty sure that you're on the left side. Make sure that you click on the screen so you are in focus. That's pretty much it.
