I play index and usually do up and right with my right hand and down and left with my left hand. Is it necessary to be able to consistently hit the down and left key with my right hand (or the up/right with the left) to score high on difficult songs? Or are the good indexers just extremely fast with 2 keys per hand??

Re: WARNING: Possible Newb Question
It's not necessary (If you're meaning crossovers) but it would work. Don't always use specific keys for each finger, but change them depending on what pattern of arrows that are there.

Re: WARNING: Possible Newb Question
It is. There called jacks, and I think they are the worst things in the game. A jack is like "up right down" really really fast. Being able to them is necessary.Comment

Re: WARNING: Possible Newb Question
Yes, customstuff is correct.
I used to be an indexer before moving onto three finger, and depending on the stream, I moved my fingers.
eg. if it was a left-down trill, i'd switch both fingers to there and immediately revert back.
But you shouldn't use specific keys perfinger, like customstuff said.
