TPs (or Tier Points) are points that you earn for getting good scores on certain (harder) songs and getting certain amounts of AAAs. They server as a measure of some players' skill.

Those are songs that have Tier points they are somewhat challenging through hard songs, you have to get a good score on them, to earn tier points the more you get the better you are I guess. Some thing like 50 or fewer means like a Full combo with 50 goods or less. Etc.
