I tried out the fullscreen mode, but found myself missing arrows I can usually hit with my eyes closed. Is there a problem with the screen being skewed or cut down to fit fully in this mode?

Most likely you are just not used to it.
Or, do you have an old computer? If it lags that may cause some problems. -

My computer isn't that old so I'm guessing I'm just not used to it. I'll stick to the small screen then.
