    Welcome to FFR?

    Hey all,
I'm Mike, my love is Liza, which means, MnLizAA (get it? =P)
So I play ITG, and I've seen this game around before, and I played it, but didn't sign up. So I decided to make an account, and I already got my first AAA. (I guess my timing is good from ITG/DDR)
AAA'd Free Space on my first try... Is there honestly a reason why that song is here? I mean, it's my first day (not first time playing, but whatever), and I AAA'd it first try.
Anyway, I hope I like it here, and I'll stick around for a bit to see how it is.

You play ITG, that puts you miles ahead of people who've played no rhythrm games whatsoever. There are plenty of people who can't AAA Free Space despite it being the easiest song we have.

That said, welcome to FFR, I'm sure you'll find plenty of songs to challenge you in the upper levels.

OMG! I just tried that Flight of the Bumblebee, I've seen someone at my school play it before, and get NO MISSES! How is that possible?!?!? How can someone's fingers move that fast?

There are even faster songs out there, I can get no misses easily on Flight of the Bumblebee easily, but not here on FFR, on Stepmania, since the frame rate for this game makes you get an average-miss until fix for it is made public.

Keep on playing and you can become that fast, just like becoming faster and faster on ITG.

Noob me here, is there any way of playing that is easier than others? I've seen someone and he plays with 2 hands, but when I try it seems really weird to me, I'm so uncoordinated. I find one hand to be way easier, and I also feel like 2 hands seems like it's making the game too easy.

Well, I play 2 hands kinda messed up my left wrist... (stupid Carpal Tunnel) Well, Some people think that playing with two hands (spread) is cheating but it is just how some people prefer to play. I switched to spread about 7 months ago. Can AAA tricky songs now. =D But I can FC much harder songs such as FMO ( For Masters Only) and VC ( Very Challenging) Play whatever you feel is right and when you think you've mastered playing one handed try playing with a speed mod. Speed mods can really help your PA (perfect attack). Or you can try switching to spread (two hands). Wish you lots of luck with this little game called FFR.

Using 2 hands will greatly benefit you if you are playing for the score. Also, unlike DDR/ITG, we don't care if you use one or two hands - using two hands is perfectly legitimate (in some songs, almost necessary) and it's not considered cheating, nor should you feel guilty in using two hands.

Hey I'm Mike (just like MnLisAA) but I'm female.
I always used to play FFR online and now I finally have an account.
And I play DDR about everyday since I own the game.

ITG/SM help with your timing a lot, so you're way ahead of the game... Because in this game, after speed and being able to hit the notes, accuracy is next, where in SM/ITG, accuracy is just as important as combo or anything else... (or more so)...

                    And welcome to FFR.
