Makes me a four year noob, then. ^^ I could go out on a limb and say 'four years and you're not a noob anymore', but numbers don't mean everything.

Anyway, it's a combination of things. I remember when I was a noob long long ago, but it was hard to notice the change between then and now. It's more of a gradual thing, but as was the best point made in this thread, threads like these definitely won't help with leaving the realm of noobdom.

On to other notes, I think you're only a noob when you do retarded things like spamming in chats, forums, you don't type with correct grammer, etc...

I look at "noob" like another word for immaturity. I also don't related "noob" with your skillz in any game. If you suck at some game, you just need to practice because you're not used to it but it doesn't necessarily mean you're a noob.

IMO, almost everyone in FFR could be considered as noobs. There are always new songs being added, and people are constantly pushing the score gap on the hard ones. With the exception of about 5 people in all of FFR that come to mind, there is always somebody better who you need to defeat.

i've said this for years.... if you have to ask if you're still a newb, then you are. when you no longer have to ask if you are... then you aren't.

I'd say this. But for me, I guess it was when I made friends who acknowledged my skill. I started on a tangent, so I have very different standards...
