Re: When Do I Stop Being A n00b?

did you ever think that getting 301 AAAs might be a waste of time.... I assume you say that people with 300 are n00bs because you have 301 but common'.

It's a bit silly don't you think. I mean a n00b is someone who is absolutely clueless (or mistakenly ****y).... calling yourself a n00b is almost like you're asking for someone to compliment you (which they should). but there is middle ground between n00b and e1337.

i've said this for years.... if you have to ask if you're still a newb, then you are. when you no longer have to ask if you are... then you aren't.

Re: When Do I Stop Being A n00b?

Well, I didn't say 400, because there's barely over 400 songs, and there's a fine line between 300 and 400, and I quit a while ago playing for scores. Very sorry if I'm coming off as an elitist player, but I can't compare ANYTHING I've EVER accomplished to what these amazing players get.

I try to stick by darkshark's saying, never think you are good, because the second you do, is the second you stop trying getting better. Which is true for the most part. But honestly after about 200 FC's, and maybe 50 AAA's you won't be seen as a noob anymore.

Edit: Pretty much Tass summed it up.

You're not a nubcake when you earn level 20+ multiplayer by playing people that are better than you, instead of picking on lower levels to get your level up.

Oh... so that's why I stopped playing. Thanks Tera.

Haha. Anyway, to the OP, I'll give you 10,000 credits. I don't need them.

In my opinion, you're always a nubcake. It's a little dissapointing.

                  finally somebody said it.
in my mind, MP level doesn't really matter but overall rank under 20k?

Well then I have some work to do! I have the 200 FC's down and could probably get up to 275 -300 if I had a long afternoon with no homework. I have to work on the AAA's.

I'll stop calling you a noob if you FC Roller Coaster Ride 2 times in a row and then pass CIA RAVE. If you can pass those two without failing, I would not consider you a noob. Besides. I'm not a noob. I have like... 3 AAAs... And I FC'd a lot. So.. no one could call me a noob.

You cease to be a n00b when your self-confidence in your FFR abililty grows large enough that you don't have to make threads like this.

Its hard to say, depends on your playing style really. It is much easier to play the harder songs 4 fingered/spread than it is one handed for 99.9% of people. I agree that getting tier points is a definate sign that your not a noob, but i only have a few atm

Anyway, you stop being a noob when you:

                                - Stop saying "Hello" when you enter the Video Chat, the Profile Chat, or the Multiplayer chat.
                                - Don't make threads like this.
                                - Actually AAA a song, NOT FOR THE SKILL TOKEN.
                                - AA A song with a Challenge difficulty.
                                - Don't make threads like this.
                                - Never double-triple-WTF post in threads.
                                - Never post in ancient threads.
                                - Look me in the eyes and say "What the hell is he doing?".
                                - Don't say the same things over and over again.
                                - Don't make threads like this.

Thosse are what you need to do in order NOT to be a noob
