Ughh, to anyone who says like, omg that files a level 21 on oni, level doesnt mean anything, a song with 1 step, and a song with 2340783427522 steps in 2 seconds, could both be rated a 98, even though both are obviously not the same skill level at all, people decide on whatever number the difficulty is, not stepmania.

Aside from that, IF road of death edit is passable, thats really hard, not sure if that will ever happen though, so I'll have to say reincarnation.

And as for not humanly passable songs, someone can always make something harder, I could go make a 1,000,000 bpm 192 quad jump song thats 5 minutes long, which would be the hardest, and obviously impossible. Then someone could go make a 1,000,001 BPM 192nd quad jump song thats 5 minutes, which is harder than what I made, and bpm doesnt have a limit, so something can always be harder.

I think it's already been stated that reincarnation oni is impossible by nima/reach and other SM gods. There was a thread about it a while ago about both of them trying to pass it on just .9x and that alone was impossible for them when they were in there prime.

I guarantee that reincarnation oni cannot be legitly passed. Sorry but no human being can possibly jack that fast while dealing with the other bull **** that's in that file. Passing it on .9x is hard enough to believe.

No one will ever know what the hardest song is and that should be common sense.

It's probably a song created by someone who doesn't involve themselves with the community or is extremely low key and created some ****ed up simfile one day and never talked about it or released it.

Or it could be by someone we do know who hasn't talked about it/released it.

Or it could be arch's hardest song srsly mix.


Bottom line: No one knows.

There is no hardest song on StepMania. Any song can be made difficult with a inordinant amount of arrows that go to absolutely nothing.

If you're talking about the hardest passable, I'd probably have to go with one of the abundant NVLM_Zk files floating around.

In terms of trills, then probably MIHC Oni.
I don't play enough hard files to say anything, really.

Some dude just released a file called 30 Minute Highspeed Session, that's pretty hard.
