As you can tell from my post count and the creation of this topic, I am new here. New to these simulation games as well. Never thought I'd be interested in this, but after a brief encounter with Guitar Hero, which some family I was visiting received for Xmas, things changed.
Not sure how good I'll ever get, but I have to admit that FFR and Stepmania, are addictive as hell. Also, unlike most games, it's possible to sneak in a short play in minutes, which definitely adds to the value when taking care of a 9-month old daughter.
I've been around on various forums for a while, mostly ones related to GameMaker. Much of my time is spent moderating at their official forums, while little is spent actually using the program, but alas, my free time comes in short bursts nowadays...
