QUESTION. How far should a noob be after a week?

Okay so I just started a little less than a week ago, and I only have 4 AAA's and 19 FC's.... :/ is that okay? Or am I horrible lol. Cuz I thought I was good for a second but then I actually figured out how to look at other profiles lol and some are like 299 AAA's and crap. egggh.

Thats about average. When I first started, I sucked so bad xD. It took about half a year to do decently well, then once speedmods came out, it took about a month before I got some good fc's.

okay cool. fewf* and yeah i use two hands. i read somewhere when i started that noobs should start w/ spread early on their career because it is the fastest. even though i have seen some vids of one handers like crazy fast. guess it's all a pref.

Yeah, it is more of a preference thing than anything. It's about whether you are more comfortable one handed AND are willing to sacrifice skill to play one-handed vs. whether you want to get good and play spread. The one-hander's videos tend to look faster because their hands are moving faster and farther to achieve the same speed as a spread player. Although I agree it does look sweet to see someone one-hand FC a really hard song. Sadly, that's not me (yet) though. Even if I did, I would have crap PA.

            Good job on choosing spread.
(Yes, I know, I'm a one-hander. But if you don't really really want to play one-handed and don't have the determination to stay that way, then by all means play spread.)

ive been playing for like a month and dont have one AAA

how the hell do you play spread......
better yet.....how do you set it up to play spread?
the letter buttons dont do anything......
i play two handed....using the arrow keys.....sometimes i will play
with just my left index finger on the left arrow key and my right hand on the number pad using my right. thumb for down, right index for up and right middle for right.
i cant play using screencut at all.

i think its much easier if i set the direction to "down" as well....and i set the speed at 2.0

Drake, I think you're above average. Most people can't get descent PA until about a month of play. Work on those FCs tho, 19 is weaksauce. lol

I couldn't even AAA a song for about a month or two. Now I have over 100! You are doing very well.

same here but now theres like 5 new REALLY EASY songs like Free Space that are easy to AAA for n00bs

I'd say you're doing pretty well for only a week of play

Yeah, if you have 4 AAA's and 19 FC's, you're fine. You could most likely have a hell of a lot more FC's if you put any effort into it. There have to at least be 60 songs that are in your fc range.

You've only been playing for a week and your have 4 AAA's? That's nuts, dude. I didn't get an AAA until like 1 or 2 months of playing. Of course I did play one-handed for a short time...

Blah, anyway. You're above average as far as "a noob should be after a week".

Those people with 100+ AAA's have been playing for more than a year.
