i wanna play with a friend and the play online is greyed out and i cant get it i can only do single or verses.

To my knowledge, R2 hasn't been updated in a looong time and I doubt it ever will.
Multi player for R2 has never made an appearance but that little text is only there in case they ever do create one. -

R2 Sucks period.
Just go to "FlashflashrevolutionR1" and play MP there or if you prefer to play something simliar to R2, Go download Stepmania at www.stepmania.com or if you prefer online play go to www.stepmaniaonline.com and download the link located on the main page.===============================
