How do people get such huge scores?

I'll use mario as an example as it's one of the more extreme I've seen. How do people get about double what all perfect and 2 good scores?

usually bug exploits.

theres been a few hackers on ffr though, guys getting millions of points.

I need to go through and wipe all scores that were hacked about 6 months ago. We are getting closer and closer to a global high-score wipe. I honestly believe nobody has actually hacked a high-score for about 4 months since we put in some added protection. It it doesnt mean that it is impossible to do, just difficult.

and yea, score wipe will be good. im assuming the wipe will be followed by the new scoring system

Why would someone like AO seriously bother hacking in the first place? I mean, wtf? You want fame, practice a crapload and get better. Also, it's funny how ungracefully they hack...you'd think they would at least make it convincing instead of sticking on a score that's double what's possible.

Mash before the song when the ready sign is up. On rare occasions you get hits. Like you can get an extra 3 on your combo on mario.
