    Re: Pad Repair..

First, I don't think no one could repair your Metal Dance Pad except RedOctane.
Second, you could put this thread in the 'Music Game Simulators' forum. But for now, it's alright, don't make another topic over there.

Can you PM me more specifics and details? I work on ITG2 pads often.

Anyone who knows anything about electronics and has specific information about the problem should be able to help. Basic electronics isn't rocket science... even a high school student should be able to know enough to fix something simple like this.

As for your suggestion of this being the wrong forum, this is the NEWBIE forum. In other words, SIMPLE QUESTIONS are welcome here. Either way, your suggestion of a different forum would actually hinder this person's chance of getting help, since that forum doesn't see as much activity as this one does.

And Mr OP, we can probably help you if we know what's wrong with it, but if you don't even have it yet, it's pointless to even ask for help.

OK, so i've just got back in from collecting it & im kinda stumped already...its nto what i expected (i thought it wud have a PS lead coming out of it) but it doesn't it has a 9 pin plug thing

im new to metal dance pads/ electronics (i try to stay clear of them LOL!) so forgive me for being vauge

the only thing i can see is that the 9 pin plug only has 7 wires going into it..

if anyoe woudl liek pics of it lemme know..

The problem is that you can't plug in your Playstation, right?

If it is, take a picture of the plug and we'll look for a workaround. You could also take one of the interior of the control box, if something more drastic is needed.

I think the "PS2" in question is "Playstation 2", not the standard that is used for computer keyboards and mouses ("PS/2").

I did some quick searching and I found nothing about 9 pin to playstation (and why would I? 9 pin is old as ****), but you could always do 9 pin to usb then use a usb to playstation 2 rofl

In all honesty, I don't actually know if that would work though. Might be better off just installing Stepmania with all of your favorite pad files and playing from your computer with that thing.

I think this is a cable for 9PIN to Computer, not to PlayStation2.
