Re: Double setup?
Double set up is when you have multiple keys bound to the same output (IE. You are hitting left -and- numpad 4 simultaneously) to increase your ability to hit fast or difficult notes.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it can also apply to doing things like binding the key 'a' to output say, left, down and up at the same time. -

Double setup is cheating!
Think of it as using two keyboards or keysets to play FFR.

Re: Double setup?
Yes, double setup is cheating. And I'll explain it a bit more in-depth to help explain why.
Usually, with any standard setup (3-fingered, 4-fingered, spread, index, etc.), in order to hit the same note two times in a row, you have to use the same finger. With double setup, you use two sets of keys at once (e.g. Up-Down-Left-Right and 8-5-4-6), with a different hand on each set. Thus, you can hit the same direction with two different keys by using different hands, which makes things much easier than intended.
Spread isn't double setup because you still only use one set of keys to play (e.g. Left-Down-8-6 or A-S-K-L), you've just divided the set into keys with different positions on the keyboard.Comment

Re: Double setup?
If you get top scores while using a double setup, you risk having your scores wiped as a cheater.
If you cheat and can only manage to get to rank 5000 on your song, nobody really cares except perhaps to point and laugh quietly.Comment
