Hey - this is Flaming Dart, and I just signed up today... This question is for anyone ranked in the top 10,000. Which fingers do most of the pros use to win their games?

Re: Flaming Dart here...
Most top players use spread (index and middle finger of each hand).
Welcome. =] -
Re: Flaming Dart here...
To be more specific, spread is when you have two fingers per hand covering all four arrows.
The way to do this with a standard keyboard is to use
left hand middle finger - keypad left
left hand index finger - keypad down
right hand index finger - numpad 8
right hand middle finger - numpad 6
(As an aside, for the shape of my hand and the comparative length of my fingers, I actually use middle/ring on the numpad, not index/middle, which slows me down a little in general, but is more comfortable for my hand)
If you would prefer to use alternate keys (The most common is something like askl or asl; ) you'll need a program to map your keys that way. The link with instructions for doing so are located here: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=41727Comment

Either spread or index.

Re: Flaming Dart here...
Welcome to FFR! Read the stickies in each forum before posting; they're a wealth of information and can really help you out (not to mention people get a bit annoyed when questions are asked that are answered in the stickies).
Just follow the rules and you'll be fine. Hope you enjoy yourself!Comment

Re: Flaming Dart here...
All sticky threads are found at the top of the list of threads in the forum they belong to, and are prefaced by STICKY: before the topic name.
You'll want to read the stickies located here in the newbie forum, and likely some number of the ones in the general R1 forum.Comment
