How to reduce lag in MP

For you newbs who don't know how to reduce lag when you're in MP, just click the "Q" button at the top of the FFR screen on which you actually play. This will reduce the quality, but will make the arrows move much smoother.

You can also use cutscreen so that the left side (your side) is showing. I use both low quality and cutsreen. Oh, and make sure you don't have any more windows, tabs, or programs running.

Screencutting shouldn't do anything, since both sets of arrows still load, only you choose not to see one of them. You could try the FFR Smoothing Tool posted not that long ago somewhere in the forums.

service pack 1 beta for vista comes out some time this year, that may help vista's FFR lag problems hopefully, but I'm also very doubtful about that.
