    Why is that song called Icky Thump?

    I like the song, but it has such a gay name. Why can't it be called "Listen to

    what i'm saying because no one will understand me Anyway" ? When he's rapping in the song, i barely understand what he's saying. Plus, some of the guitar parts sound like a broken record. WTF?

          ya i think it's a good song, there is a reason behind the name of the song we just don't know it.

                  why does it need a new name? the name has something to do with the song's lyrics or something i'm not sure, i'm not jack white or his sister or the producer of the song or anything, if you wanted to know the reason maybe you should ask them on their site or something instead of us becuase most of use don't know any more than you do.

                      it's a variation on the British slang "ecky-thump" (which expresses surprise), and jack just changed the "e" to an "i".

                      and i think it's a marvelous song. the guitar solo is amazing.

                          I am by no means a fan of The White Stripes but I did see a video of them on YouTube. They're, as indigo23 said, pure genius. They're all over the place with this one guy playing like three instruments and running around and stuff.

                              I'm not a White Stripes fan either, but they are excellent multitaskers.
